Cannabis Infused Papparadelle Bolognese

Yield: 2-3 servings
Time to Make: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2-3 servings of dried pappardelle pasta

  • 1/2 cup diced onions or shallots

  • 500 grams lean ground beef

  • 1/2 cup tomato paste

  • 1/4 cup beef broth

  • 1/4 cup red wine (preferably sauvignon cabarnet)

  • 1/2 tbsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • Handful of basil leaves

  • 2 tsp dried parsley

  • 1/2 cup parmesan or pecorino romano

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp cannabis butter

Instructions

  1. Boil a medium pot of hot water and add the pasta to cook. Add salt to the water. When pasta is finished boiling, save 1/4 cup pasta water and set aside.

  2. Heat up a mid-sized pot to medium-high heat.

  3. When the pot is hot, add the olive oil and cannabis butter - make sure that the cannabis butter doesn’t burn!

  4. Sautée the onions/shallots.

  5. Add the ground beef and pan fry until golden brown.

  6. Add the strained pasta, tomato paste, beef broth, red wine, and pasta water and allow the pot to simmer for a few minute.

  7. Add the seasonings and basil leaves, mix well.

  8. Plate the pasta and top off with cheese

  9. Enjoy!
