HOW MUCH CANNABIS OIL SHOULD YOU USE?

It’s important to know what your personal dosage is, and never rely on someone to tell you what your own dose should be. The rule of thumb is always to start low, and go slow. Start off with a few mg of CBD or THC, hang out for an hour or two, and see how you feel. There’s many factors that can affect how much dosage is required in order to trigger the psychoactive or desired effects (ie. mood, stomach fullness, sleep, etc.) so don’t be alarmed if you’re using a dosage that worked yesterday, but not today.

INGREDIENTS (+sUBSTITUTIONS)

  • Raw Honey: Raw unpasteurized honey is going to be the most nutrient rich honey that you can get. Raw honey is the least processed type of honey out there and generally is more expensive, but it’s worth it to invest in higher quality ingredients imo!

  • Cannabis Infused Coconut Oil: Infused coconut oil is a staple infusion every cannabis lover should have in their kitchen! It’s versatile for cooking and for making cannabis creams. For this recipe, the cannabis infused coconut oil will be the main source for cannabinoids. You can learn how to make cannabis infused coconut oil by watching my YouTube video.

  • Chili Flakes: Use any type of chili flakes to add heat to your honey infusion.

  • Kief: This is totally optional, but I added raw cannabis to my infusion for added benefits. Raw cannabis has shown to offer anti-inflammatory benefits. I treat it like any other raw superfood. Kief won’t have any THC or CBD in it unless it has been activated (aka heat has been applied to the cannabis for x amount of minutes at x temperature). Raw cannabis contains the precursor cannabinoids to THC and CBD, which are THCA and CBDA.

TIPS & TRICKS FOR SUCCESS

  1. The cannabis infused coconut oil is a must! If you don’t add this, the honey won’t have any psychoactive effects. You can infuse cannabis directly into honey but it won’t be as potent because it’s best to have a fat based ingredient so that it can bind with the cannabinoids from the cannabis flower.

Hello! I’m Anna and I’m a cannabis recipe developer and digital content creator with a huge passion for food and the plant.

I love creating healthy and delicious cannabis infused recipes as I believe it’s a great way to consume the plant. I’m very lucky to be living in a country like Canada, where cannabis is legalized recreationally and medically.

Outside of making yummy recipes, I’m an advocate and educator for the plant, working to end stigmas. I believe that just because you consume the plant, it does not define who you are or your success as an individual. Cannabis consumers come from all walks of life, and their choice for consumption should be respected.
